Itinerary

Get ready for a thrilling and unforgettable desert adventure as you ride a quad bike with the iconic Pyramids of Giza as your backdrop! This high-energy experience combines adrenaline, breathtaking scenery, and ancient history—perfect for those seeking an exhilarating twist on traditional sightseeing.

Your adventure begins with a prompt pickup from your hotel in Cairo or Giza. You’ll travel in comfort in a modern, air-conditioned vehicle as you head toward the Giza Plateau, one of Egypt’s most legendary landmarks. Along the way, your local escort will share insights about the day’s activities and what to expect upon arrival.

Upon reaching the desert outskirts of the pyramids, you’ll be warmly welcomed at a desert base camp. Here, experienced instructors will provide a short safety briefing and a quick tutorial on how to handle the quad bikes. Whether you’re a first-timer or an experienced rider, you’ll feel confident and ready to explore.

Once you’re geared up with a helmet and safety equipment, it’s time to hit the desert trails! Roar across the golden sands, feeling the wind rush past as you speed toward panoramic viewpoints overlooking the three great pyramids—Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure. This is one of the few ways to admire these ancient monuments from a distance most visitors never see.

Stop occasionally for photo opportunities at stunning desert vantage points, where the massive structures of the pyramids and the mysterious Sphinx rise from the sand like a dream. The surrounding desert is vast and quiet, offering a truly immersive moment far from the crowds.

Your guide will help you capture incredible shots with the pyramids in the background—perfect for sharing your once-in-a-lifetime experience with friends and family back home.

After about an hour of exploring, you’ll return to the starting point to unwind. Then, hop back into your private vehicle for a smooth and comfortable ride back to your hotel.

Travel Policy Guide of Daily Pyramids Tours

Pricing Policy

At Daily Pyramids Tours, every quoted rate is listed in US Dollars (USD) unless otherwise noted. That said, we happily accept settlement in other leading currencies including Euros (EUR), British Pounds (GBP) and more, converted at the official exchange rate on the day your payment clears.

Because pricing follows live market conditions, seasonal demand and service availability, figures can move without advance warning. The moment we receive your deposit or full payment, though, your rate is locked in and guaranteed for good.

What’s Included in Our Packages:

  • Comfortable accommodation as detailed in your itinerary
  • Private or group transportation
  • Professional, licensed tour guides
  • Daily breakfast and other meals as specified
  • Entrance fees to included attractions
  • Domestic flights or transfers (where applicable)
  • 24/7 on-ground support

Do double-check your booking confirmation and itinerary for the exact inclusions and exclusions that apply to your trip.

Holiday Supplement:

A 25% surcharge applies to all Nile Cruises and tour packages booked during Christmas, New Year, and Easter holidays due to peak demand.

Booking Confirmation Policy

To keep the booking process at Daily Pyramids Tours simple and transparent, payment terms are tailored to the type of experience you have chosen:

  • Day Tours & Excursions: Full payment (100%) is required at booking to confirm your reservation.
  • Multi-Day Tour Packages & Nile Cruises: A 30% deposit is required to secure your booking. The balance must be paid at least 15 days before arrival.
  • Christmas, New Year & Easter Bookings: Due to high seasonal demand, a 50% deposit is needed to confirm reservations during these periods.

Once your payment clears, we email over written confirmation, a personalised itinerary and your travel documents. A receipt is issued for every payment on record.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Life changes and so do travel plans. Here is how our cancellation policy works:

  • 30 days or more before arrival: Full refund minus any bank or transaction fees
  • 15 to 29 days before arrival: 25% cancellation fee of total tour cost
  • 7 to 14 days before arrival: 50% cancellation fee
  • Less than 7 days before arrival or no-show: 100% cancellation fee

Where a refund is due, we release funds within 14 business days of receiving your written cancellation. A handful of cruise vessels and hotels operate stricter cancellation windows of their own, and any such terms will be spelled out clearly in your itinerary.

Children Policy

Families are a big part of what we do, so Daily Pyramids Tours applies the following children’s rates:

  • Infants under 2 years: Free of charge
  • Children 2–5 years: 25% of adult price
  • Children 6–11 years: 50% of adult price
  • Children 12 years and above: Full adult price

These discounts apply when children share a room with two full-paying adults. A few luxury hotels and Nile Cruises follow their own rules for younger travellers, and any such conditions will be flagged clearly on your itinerary before you book.

Optional Visits & Entry Tickets

Certain bucket-list extras sit outside the standard package and can be added ahead of time or on the ground, subject to availability. Popular add-ons include:

  • Entry inside the Great Pyramid of Khufu and other tombs
  • Sound & Light Shows at Giza Pyramids, Karnak, or Philae Temples
  • Hot air balloon rides over Luxor at sunrise
  • Camel rides or horse-drawn carriage tours in historic districts
  • Private photo sessions at iconic landmarks

Optional experiences are settled in USD or local Egyptian Pounds (EGP). Booking ahead is wise, particularly in the busy winter and holiday seasons.

Additional Expenses to Budget For

Our packages cover a great deal, but a small spending kitty helps for:

  • Personal purchases (souvenirs, snacks, etc.)
  • Beverages during meals unless specified
  • Hotel extras (minibar, room service, laundry, etc.)
  • Egypt entry visa fees (usually payable on arrival)
  • SIM cards or internet access unless provided
  • Gratuities and optional experiences

Keeping a little Egyptian Pounds (EGP) on hand goes a long way, especially for market shopping, small tips and casual snacks along the route.

Tipping Guidelines in Egypt

Known locally as “baksheesh”, tipping is a warm and long-standing way to acknowledge good service in Egypt. It is not compulsory but is genuinely welcomed:

  • Tour guide: $15–$20 per day per group
  • Driver: $5–$10 per day per group
  • Nile Cruise crew: $5–$10 per person per night (shared among staff)
  • Hotel staff (porters, housekeeping): Small tips of $1–$2

Gratuities are not included in your package price, so tucking a handful of small USD or EGP notes into your day bag makes tipping effortless as you travel.

FAQ

What is the Best Time to Travel to Egypt?

Egypt shines brightest between November and February, when winter sunshine keeps daytime temperatures comfortable for wandering the pyramids, cruising the Nile and exploring temples on foot. High summer, from June through August, is a different animal altogether, with the mercury climbing above 40°C (104°F) in many regions, making long days outdoors far more taxing.

What is needed to enter Egypt?

To enter Egypt as a tourist, you will typically need the following in order:

  • Passport: Valid for at least six months from the date of entry.

  • Visa: Depending on your nationality, you may need to obtain a visa in advance or upon arrival. Some nationalities are eligible for e-visas.

  • Travel Insurance: Recommended to cover medical emergencies and other unforeseen circumstances.

  • Vaccinations: While no specific vaccinations are required for entry, it’s advisable to check with your healthcare provider for any recommended vaccinations.

Is it Safe to Travel to Egypt Right Now?

Egypt is broadly a safe destination for visitors, with substantial security in place around the major tourist sites and cities alike. As with any trip abroad, it pays to review current guidance from your own government before departure and to keep an eye on local news while you are on the ground.

How do I book a trip?

  • Decide Your Travel Dates and Budget
Pin down when you would like to travel and roughly what you are ready to spend. That framework makes it far easier to compare flights, accommodation and tour options.

  • Choose Your Itinerary and Destinations
Egypt is packed with headline experiences, from Cairo and the Pyramids of Giza to Luxor, Aswan, a classic Nile Cruise, Alexandria and the Red Sea resorts. Sketch out which of these you want to include and how many days each deserves.

  • Find a Reliable Tour Operator or Travel Agency
Whether you book with an Egyptian specialist on the ground, an international agency or a trusted online platform, take a good look at reviews and ratings before committing.

  • Select a Tour Package or Customize Your Trip
Ready-made packages bundle up flights, hotels, transfers and guided touring, while tailor-made itineraries let you shape the journey around your own tastes and budget.

  • Make a Reservation
Once your favourite package is chosen, get in touch to confirm availability, share the traveller details required and pay a deposit or the full balance according to policy.

  • Prepare Your Travel Documents
Check that your passport is valid, apply for an Egyptian visa if your nationality requires one, and print or save digital copies of your itinerary, hotel vouchers and tour confirmations.

  • Pack and Get Ready
Pack for the season and the activities on your itinerary, remembering comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen, a hat and the right travel adapters.

  • Enjoy Your Trip!
When you land, lean on your guide or agency for local know-how, stick loosely to your itinerary and dive into everything Egypt’s history and culture has to offer.

Is Tipping Included in the Tour Price?

Tipping, or “baksheesh”, is woven into daily life in Egypt and is generally not built into the price of your tour. Guides, drivers and hotel staff all appreciate a small thank-you for good service, and a helpful benchmark is around 10-15% of the bill or service value, adjusted upwards when the experience really stands out.
