Day 1: Arrival in Aswan – Aswan City Tour
A representative meets you at Aswan Airport or your hotel and stays with you throughout the day. Settling into a private air-conditioned vehicle, you set out to discover Aswan’s signature landmarks, opening with the High Dam, the twentieth-century engineering feat that tamed the Nile’s annual flood and shielded a great swathe of Nubian heritage from the rising waters.
From there, you visit the Unfinished Obelisk, still bedded into the granite quarry where a hairline crack ended its life midway — a vivid window onto the tools, ambition and setbacks of ancient stonemasons.
