Breakfast at the hotel sets you up for a headline day. Your guide meets you in the lobby and, in minutes, the skyline gives way to the golden edge of the Giza plateau.
You will spend the morning among the three great monuments of the Old Kingdom: the towering Great Pyramid of Khufu, the neighbouring Pyramid of Khafre with its cap of original casing stones, and the smaller yet elegant Pyramid of Menkaure.
A short walk away, the Great Sphinx keeps its silent vigil, its lion’s body and pharaoh’s face carved from a single limestone outcrop. From there you’ll continue to the Valley Temple, once tied to the rites of purification and mummification, its polished granite pillars framing beautiful views back towards the pyramids.
Lunch is served at a well-regarded local restaurant, giving you a chance to rest and refuel.
In the afternoon you’ll head to the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), one of the largest and most technologically ambitious museums on earth dedicated entirely to a single civilisation. Its galleries trace Egypt’s story from the Old and Middle Kingdoms through the dazzling New Kingdom.
Expect towering royal statues, finely worked jewellery, ceremonial objects and everyday pieces that bring the ancient household vividly to life. The scale of the halls and the clarity of the displays make even a first visit feel remarkably intimate.

After an early breakfast, you’ll transfer to Cairo Airport for a short flight south to Luxor, the city that was once Thebes, the beating heart of Egypt’s New Kingdom.
Your guide meets you on arrival and drives you straight to the East Bank of the Nile. First stop is the immense Karnak Temple Complex. You’ll walk the length of the Hypostyle Hall beneath a forest of colossal columns, then explore chapels, obelisks and the sacred lake, all dedicated to the great god Amun-Ra.
From Karnak it is a short drive to Luxor Temple, elegantly set beside the river and flanked by monumental statues and the remains of the sphinx-lined avenue that once linked it to Karnak.
When the tour ends, you’ll board your Nile cruise vessel, settle into your cabin and watch the riverbank slip by as the journey upstream begins.

Breakfast on board, then it’s across the river to Luxor’s West Bank, a landscape of ochre hills concealing some of Egypt’s greatest treasures.
You’ll begin at the Valley of the Kings, the desert wadi chosen as the resting place of the New Kingdom pharaohs, Tutankhamun among them. Inside the tombs, corridors and burial chambers are covered floor to ceiling with hieroglyphs and painted scenes as fresh as the day they were finished.
Next is the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari, its terraces rising in perfect symmetry against a cliff face, honouring one of Egypt’s most powerful female rulers.
The morning ends at the Colossi of Memnon, the two seated giants of Amenhotep III that have greeted travellers on the plain for more than three thousand years.
Back on board for lunch, you’ll spend the afternoon on the top deck as the ship casts off and glides south under the sun.

Breakfast on board, then step ashore to visit the Temple of Horus at Edfu, sanctuary of the falcon-headed god. Almost intact from pylon to inner shrine, it is one of the finest examples of Ptolemaic temple building anywhere in Egypt, its walls alive with carved battles between good and evil.
Back on the ship for lunch, you’ll sail on to Kom Ombo. Here you’ll explore the remarkable double temple shared between Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus, the falcon god, each side perfectly mirrored. Just next door, the small Crocodile Museum houses mummified crocodiles once revered as living echoes of Sobek himself.
In the evening the ship hosts a lively Galabeya party, with traditional music, dance and colourful costumes to help you feel part of the fun.

Enjoy breakfast on board before setting out to explore Aswan, Egypt’s laid-back southern gateway.
You’ll begin at the Aswan High Dam, the vast twentieth-century engineering feat that reshaped Egypt’s irrigation, agriculture and electricity supply and gave rise to Lake Nasser behind it.
A short motorboat then carries you across the water to Philae Temple, dedicated to Isis, goddess of love and magic. Carefully dismantled and rebuilt on Agilkia Island to save it from the rising waters, the temple is a masterpiece of finely carved reliefs in one of the most beautiful settings on the Nile.
Back on board, lunch is waiting, and the rest of the day is yours to relax on the sun deck.
