Following breakfast, your private Egyptologist meets you in the hotel lobby for a full day exploring Giza’s most storied stones.
The morning belongs to the Giza Pyramids, where the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the Pyramid of Khafre and the Pyramid of Menkaure line up on the plateau in near-impossible scale. Nearby, the Great Sphinx keeps its ageless gaze, its lion’s body and pharaoh’s face still commanding after millennia. You will also step into the Valley Temple, once the setting for royal purification rites, with sweeping views across the necropolis.
A leisurely lunch follows at a well-regarded local restaurant.
In the afternoon, cross to the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), one of the world’s most ambitious archaeological showcases, purpose-built to house Egypt’s finest antiquities. Room after room reveals colossal statuary, gilded funerary pieces and craftsmanship spanning every major dynasty.
Look out for artefacts from the Old, Middle and New Kingdoms, effigies of legendary pharaohs, delicate jewellery and household objects that quietly reveal how ordinary Egyptians once lived. After breakfast, a private air-conditioned vehicle whisks you to Cairo Airport for the short domestic hop south to Aswan.
On landing, our local host greets you and you set straight off to discover this laid-back Nubian city.
First stop is the Aswan High Dam, a colossal feat of twentieth-century engineering that tames the Nile’s annual flood and supplies irrigation and power across Egypt.
Next comes the Philae Temple complex, sacred to the goddess Isis. Painstakingly moved stone by stone to Agilkia Island to save it from the dam’s rising waters, the temple still carries beautifully cut reliefs telling the old myths of Osiris, Isis and Horus.
From the temple, you head straight to the pier to board your Nile cruise ship, complete check-in and settle in for lunch as the vessel casts off towards Kom Ombo.
Spend the afternoon watching the palm-fringed banks slip by from the sun deck, before an evening of onboard entertainment.

Breakfast on deck sets you up for the morning visit to Kom Ombo, a rare twin sanctuary honouring Sobek, the crocodile god of the Nile, and Horus, the falcon-headed sky god. Its symmetrical courts and finely cut reliefs offer an unusual window into ancient beliefs about protection and healing.
Back on board, enjoy lunch as the ship glides on towards Edfu.
The afternoon calls at the Temple of Horus at Edfu, one of the most complete temples anywhere in Egypt. Towering pylons and vast courtyards make it a photographer’s dream.
After dark, join the crew for the traditional Galabeya Party — slip on the flowing local robe, tuck into Egyptian favourites and enjoy live music and dancing as the boat continues towards Luxor.

Wake to breakfast as the ship moors in Luxor. Your Egyptologist collects you for a full tour of the West Bank, beginning at the Valley of the Kings — the secret royal cemetery of the New Kingdom. Descend into painted tombs where hieroglyphs and afterlife scenes still glow in extraordinary colour.
Continue to the terraced mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut, one of history’s most remarkable female rulers, then pause before the Colossi of Memnon — two towering statues that have stood sentinel on the plain for over three thousand years.
Back aboard, the evening is yours for quiet moments along the Nile.

After breakfast, your guide leads you into Karnak Temple, an immense sacred precinct dedicated to Amun-Ra. Its showstopper is the Great Hypostyle Hall, a forest of 134 monumental columns carved with lotus and papyrus capitals.
A short drive brings you to Luxor Temple, where colossal statues of Ramses II stand guard and the newly restored Avenue of Sphinxes traces the ancient processional route linking the two temples.
Later, you transfer to Luxor Airport for the flight back to Cairo. On arrival, our driver meets you and takes you to your hotel for a free evening at leisure.

Set off after an early breakfast on the scenic drive north to Alexandria, Egypt’s storied Mediterranean city where Egyptian, Greek and Roman worlds have long overlapped.
Begin at the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, a spiralling second-century AD burial complex famous for the way its carvings blend pharaonic, Hellenistic and Roman motifs into one striking style.
Move on to Pompey’s Pillar, a soaring Roman granite column raised in honour of Emperor Diocletian, and the adjacent Serapeum ruins that once formed a temple to the god Serapis.
Break for lunch at a well-known local restaurant.
The tour continues at Qaitbay Citadel, the fifteenth-century fortress built directly on the foundations of the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria — one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Its ramparts offer sweeping Mediterranean views and a real sense of the port’s centuries-long strategic role.
Round off the day at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, a striking modern reincarnation of the fabled ancient library. Home to millions of volumes, rotating exhibitions and rare manuscripts, it keeps Alexandria’s tradition of scholarship very much alive.
